EHPM attended the annual conference of the SAFE Food Advocacy Group on the 21st of March 2017. The Conference opened with a presentation on the priorities and upcoming projects of SAFE. This was followed with presentations around the policy and regulations of Acrylamide. A review of EU Food Safety Laws were then discussed including a talk from Commissioner Andruikaitas on ensuring safety and healthy food for consumers. The conference closed with a presentation from Alexandra Nikolalopoulou, Head of Unit for Nutrition, Food Composition and Information at DG Sante, on Public Health beyond the internal market.
