Description:

20 years ago, the Food Supplements Directive entered into force – recognising the crucial role supplements play in helping people maintain a healthy lifestyle. To celebrate its accomplishments and to discuss the future of the sector, the European Federation of Associations of Health Product Manufacturers (EHPM) and The Parliament Magazine are organising a high-level policy event in the European Parliament, sponsored by MEPs Pascal Arimont and Simona Bonafè. The event will also see the participation of other MEPs from the ENVI Committee, including Alessandra Moretti and Maria Spyraki. This celebratory event will also be an opportunity for political and industrial representatives and other stakeholders across Europe to share best practices and engage in debate on the leading topics of the day.

The event will feature two panel discussions:

• Panel 1: 20 years of the Food Supplements Directive achievements & ongoing challenges;
• Panel 2: Botanicals food supplements: opportunities & challenges.

The two-hour discussion will be followed by a cocktail.
