On the day following the EHPM General Assembly 2023, the EHPM Secretariat organised a Brainstorming Session on Novel Foods in Brussels with the Members of its Task Force on Novel Foods. The session was introduced by EHPM Director General Livia Menichetti and the Chair of the EHPM Task Force Magdalini Selanikli (SESDI).

EHPM Members could hear the following insightful presentations:

  • Key legal issues with Novel Food facing the industry”: by Tobias Peschel, BDIH Legal Advisor.
  • Article 4 of the Novel Food Regulation : what is needed to demonstrate the history of consumption?” by Jérôme Le Bloch, Head of Scientific Department at Nutraveris.

After the presentations, a brainstorming exercise was organised in two groups.
